Happy Friday! I know you’ve waited all week for this! Let’s talk Owl’s Brew tea cocktails and Dolfin Earl Grey chocolate.
I know what you’re thinking… Owl’s Brew? Is it Halloween already? No! Owl’s Brew is a tea flavored cocktail mixer! Thank you, Pinterest for this lovely discovery. My best friend loves owls. Naturally when my Pinterest feed showed the Owl’s Brew pin, I had to check it out. They sell a three cocktail mixer set – The Classic, Coco-Lada, and Pink & Black. It’s a great idea to try all three instead of just the Classic, right? Today’s toughest decision was trying to decide which mixer and which liquor, beer, or wine to mix with it! We finally decided to go with Coco-Lada and Captain Morgan spiced rum. I opened the bottle and the fruity aroma hit me at once. Did someone slice open a pineapple? Sipping this cocktail was like being on a beach in Hawaii. It was refreshing, light, and packed with tropical flavor. I liked the fact that it finished with a smooth coconut flavor. Owl’s Brew hit this one out of the park. In fact, my best friend’s husband exclaimed “This is the best cocktail I’ve had in a long time!” Yes, he’s a craft beer connoisseur but he knows a great cocktail, too! I’m anxious to delve into the other two! When we do, I’ll be sure to share it with you.
Dolfin Earl Grey Dark Chocolate Bar:
Next up we have Earl Grey and Dark Chocolate… oh Dolfin from Belgium, I’ve waited a very, very long time for you. A friend of mine told me about this chocolate bar ages ago. I was unhappy when I found out Cost Plus discontinued selling them just a month prior to my search! This bar was everything my friend raved about and then some. The dark chocolate was incredibly smooth and not overpowering. Midway through your palate, you could clearly taste the earl grey and the lemony bergamot. It was absolute heaven. I’m a huge fan of chocolate and earl grey together. Just wait until I share my earl grey hot cocoa recipe with you!
